What is Ration Card?
Ration card is a political candidate document issued to the voters by the state governments of Republic of India to buy groceries at honest costs. card can even be used as an identity proof. beneath the National Food Security Act, the state governments are directed to spot 2 categories of eligible households supported financial gain. Below mentioned are the categories of ration cards issued as per the National Food Security Act;
National Food Security Act was enacted in 2013 to hide 2/3rd of India’s population for receiving the advantages of sponsored food grains beneath the targeted public distribution system. beneath this theme, the central government of Bharat would financially support the state governments once there's shortage of grains. Before enacting National Food Security Act in 2013, ration cards were classified as below.
